  • If you elect to enroll your camper in extended care or swim lessons after you have completed the program registration, you must contact us directly for registration assistance. All fees must be paid at the time of registration for additional services.
    Our youngest campers will participate in their lessons from 4:15 - 4:45pm and will be available for pick-up in the ERC multipurpose room beginning at 5 pm.
    Campers in After Camp Learn to swim lessons for those 8 and older begin at 4:45pm and are available for pick up beginning at 5:30pm.
    Extended care fees are not part of the Early Bird promotion. Discounts are only on TERP Quest Camp fees applied to registrations paid in full between January 5th - February 17th (10%).

  • All campers MUST be picked up by 6:00pm or a late fee will be charged
  • Late Pickup Fee of $1.00 for every 1 minute after 4:30pm, if only enrolled in camp, or 6:00pm, if enrolled in afternoon extended care.
  • Late Paperwork Fee of $25.00 if their camper's Required Forms are not submitted, in their entirely, by May 31st, 2017.
  • Requests for special payment arrangements should be forwarded to Mary Mires at mmires@umd.edu. Determinations are made on a case by case basis.
  • Cancellation of registration may be requested at any time and should include the following information: camper name, week registered, reason for cancellation request and accurate parent contact information. This must be put in writing and e-mailed to Mary Mires at mmires@umd.edu within the appropriate time frame (see below).Time and date stamp on email request will be used to calculate refund due. You will be contacted by a camp representative to finalize the request.
In order to be eligible for a full refund of the camp fee paid, LESS the $50 non-refundable registration fee per week of camp, parents must submit a cancellation request more than 10 BUSINESS DAYS prior to the start of camp week .
Example: Your child is registered for week 1 – starting June 26, 2017. Your request for cancellation must be submitted no later than June 9th, 2017.

Parents who submit a cancellation request within 10 BUSINESS DAYS prior to the start of camp will receive a 50% refund of the camp fee after the non-refundable registration fee of $50 per week of camp canceled has been deducted.
EXAMPLE: Your child is registered for week 1 of camp beginning June 26th, 2017. Your request is submitted between June 12th and June 23rd, 2017. You are eligible for a 50% reimbursement of fees paid after the $50 non-refundable registration fee has been deducted per week of camp.
Parents/campers who cancel any weekly camp registration or any associated add-on program at or after the start of camp will not receive a refund.
NOTE: If you registered online, you will need to contact us with your credit card information. University Recreation and Wellness does not retain this for your safety.
Transfer of weekly camp registration may be requested at any time and will be handled on a first come, first served basis. Camper placement is subject to availability of space within the their designated age group. All requests need to include the following information: camper name, week registered, reason for transfer request and accurate parent contact information and e-mailed Mary Mires at mmires@umd.edu . To be considered, transfer requests must be received a minimum of ONE WEEK in advance of the start of the requested camp week.
Each camp has a limited number of spaces. If any TERP Quest week is full, a parent may choose to put his/her child on the waiting list for the preferred week. Fees are only collected if we are able to accept your child into camp.
Parents will be contacted, in turn, as cancellations open up spaces for a waitlisted camp. Available spaces will be registered on a first come, first served basis. Please use current contact information (i.e. cell phone number or work email address) to maximize your registration opportunity.
